Duncan

The baton arrived at our store on Wednesday morning.  Our store staff and volunteers chatted about the baton and about  building community throughout the country. 

 

Visiting Vancouver Island requires a quick dip in the sea. Our store in Duncan, BC is 30 mins from the Salish Sea (the strait between Vancouver Island and the mainland). So, since our store is western-most Mission Thrift Store in Canada, I thought a photo shoot near the Pacific Ocean at Rathtrevor Provincial Park was necessary!

 

On Friday, we had a bit of fun passing the baton from department to department, and we took a few photos. It was unfortunate that we had a shortage of staff and volunteers that week – many people on vacation – but we still made it special!  Now, on to Kelowna! 🙂
